The word diapsid refers to a group of animals that have two temporal openings in the skull. Members of this group include all living birds and reptiles, with the exception of anapsids (turtles and their kin). My wife, Jennifer, is particularly interested in birds, and I take a keen interest in reptiles; we both feel the name suits us perfectly.
Animals have always been an important part of my life. I've worked with many different species over the years. Even though I have much experience with some animals, I don't feel that's all that's necessary to fully appreciate what they have to offer. I enjoy working with animals (reptiles in particular) and I'd like to share that enjoyment with others. I hope the time and effort I put towards the care of these animals will shine through for others to enjoy for years to come.
